How to Style a Basic Tee - Our Top Styling Tips & Tricks!

There are some wardrobe items that no closet is complete without. We are firm believers in stocking up on essentials so you are always stylish. One of our must have pieces is, of course, the basic tee! Our favorite basic tee is the Charlie tee, available in our store & on our website. 1. Keep it simple. 

A basic tee is such an important piece to have in your wardrobe because it can look chic all on it's own! If you need a stylish look but don't want to spend too much time on it, grab your perfect basic tee, throw on one accessory, and get going! We styled our Charlie tee with a hair scarf and with a wide brim fedora for a couple of simple, stylish looks. Keep it simple with jewelry, throw on your favorite jeans or shorts, and a pair of sneakers or booties. This look will always be on trend! 

2. Layer. Layer. Layer. 

Want to look fashion-forward while staying comfy? Grab your favorite basic tee and add a layer! Depending on your plans, this layer might be a denim jacket, a kimono, or even a blazer! Basic tees can be business-wear too. Whatever you're up to, a basic tee and a stylish layering piece will always make you look put-together and fashionable. 

3. Pick a style - then stick to it! 

When styling a basic tee, it can be easy to start adding accessories and layers and jewelry and... bam! Suddenly, you've way overdone your look and the style you were going for is unclear. One of our biggest styling tips is to pick a style - then stick to it! If you wanna go for the casual, rocker look, maybe throw on that wide brim fedora and our Brittney Jacket (as seen above).
